The three Conversion Factor Sections contain

• Unit Names and Symbols and the SI Unit System
• The Conversion Factors and
• Relations between Units of the same  System

The tables are not intended to be comprehensive, but useful for civil,  geotechnical and structural engineers, as well as for contractors and at job sites. With this in mind, if you feel that we missed out on important conversion factors, please contact us.

Comments

Conversion Factors given in red were derived from a compilation of the Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt Braunschweig (PTB), the German Federal Institute for Standards. The factors given in black or white were calculated, based on known unit relations and the PTB conversion factors.
