Permanently measure load and strain
of your installed strand anchor.
CTS has adapted and further developed the Tensmeg®
Tension Measuring Gauge for monitoring strand tendons. It is
a spiral strain gauge consisting of a teflon coated resistance wire,
extending between two hard rubber end blocks. Due to its construction,
the resistance wire is precisely inserted into the spiral grooves of
the 7-wire strand used for anchors and therefore well protected.
We believe this passive monitoring gauge is the most
advanced, simple to use, and cost-effective means to ascertain "structural
health". We custom-engineer solutions for you, which offer the
owners/managers of major structures the following unique benefits:
| Simple |
You measure the most important variable,
strain in the bond or stressing zone. |
| Cost-effective |
Your monotoring system uses a progressive
scaleable approach to determining structural health, which keeps
overall costs down. |
| Timely |
Your monitoring system provides for
wireless information transfer over the Internet to any location
around the world, on a real-time, or as desired basis |
| Passive |
Your monitoring system does not require
continuous power supply, which can be expensive, or even impossible
in remote locations |
The gauge has an excellent linear response, accuracy,
long term stability and water resistance. Its specifications are unaffected
when it is surrounded by cement grout or embedded in concrete. It can
be read by most strain gauge readouts or data loggers having a sensitivity
of 1 micro-volt.
Features
- Rugged construction unaffected by any kind of shocks
- Small Diameter of gauge barely exceeding the diameter of cable
- Suitable for dynamic monitoring
- Based on resistance wire principle
- Resistance wire protected by teflon sheath and further protected
by being inserted into spiral grooves of cable
|
- Tendons can be coiled
- Unaffected by cable bending
- Temperature compensated for steel cables
- Can be embedded in cement grout or concrete
- Water resistant
- Available in different length
